Ford Driving Skills for Life: Session 2
1:30 PM
MetraPark Arena
Description:
The Ford Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) event is a hands-on advanced drivers-ed course designed to teach young drivers about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. It was developed to address the leading cause of death among teenagers in the United States -- vehicle crashes.

With a professional instructor by their side, students will be able to participate in ride-and-drives. Newly licensed drivers can get behind the wheel of a top-of-the-line sports car and participate in a variety of courses, such as an impaired driving simulation course and a vehicle handling course. One of the more popular courses, the impaired driving course, uses high-tech suits to simulate what it would actually be like to drive distracted.

And the best part of this whole event? DSFL is completely free. The program is available to all newly licensed drivers, this includes learning permits as well, and their parents.

DSFL will be held both Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 at MetraPark Arena from 8:00AM-12:00PM and 1:30PM-5:30PM. There will be four sessions in total.

Spots are limited so hurry and sign up before it’s too late!
